Would you have dinner with me ? by Bilou020285 Would you have dinner with me ? by Bilou020285
A very quick double portrait to experiment paper textures on Corel Painter 12.
Sherlock Holmes (B. Cumberbatch) in front of Irene Adler, The Woman (L. Pulver) in A Scandal in Belgravia, Steven Moffat, BBC.

The simplicity of the piece really lets the feeling of the moment stand out; it's very heavy with emotion. Well done!

Oh, and while I hate to be THAT person...

*Belgravia, not Bebravia

Regardless, this is excellent work, keep it up! Faved!

Yes ! It's true ! You're right ! The director use a single source of light coming from the fireplace, it reveals both silhouettes (beautiful profile, by the way... ;)). And what's better than two profile getting close to each other to illustrate a kiss ? Exept, they never kissed...
Thanks a lot for your comment ! :blowkiss:
And thank you to have noticed the typo... Sometimes I should read myself... ;)

And that's the brilliance of it! They never DID kiss...it was implied, hinted at, almost done, but, as Kronk from "Emperor's New Groove" said: "...there's a wall there." It would've been so easy for the writers to make them kiss, and that in turn would make the ending more poignant, but they didn't...and the ending turned out more powerful than ever! Simply because, for ONCE, there was no kiss! And yes, the low lighting and camera angles really captured the intimacy of the moment.

Yer welcome! And no worries...just wanted to point it out nicely before some troll started tearin' a metaphorical strip off your back for it ^.^

Oh yes, Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss and Paul MacGuigan are genius. Agreed !
What a better protection than the one of Thorin against trolls ! ;)
